2010 Foal Photo Contest Winners


Competition was fierce in this year’s foal photo contest! There were 53 qualifying entries competing in five categories for prizes, and over 700 people voted for their favorites.

Cutest Foal

Maid Another Chance, aka “Rebel,” an Appaloosa owned by Kim Walton of Ravenswood, West Virginia is 2010’s Cutest Foal. Rebel received 20.4% of the votes cast.

Most Personality

Second Place Winners

2010’s Second Place Cutest Foal is Uphoria, a Dutch Warmblood Arabian cross owned by Samantha Werner of Sonesta Farms in Cypress, Texas. Uphoria received 13.9% of the votes cast.

2010’s Second Place Foal with the Most Personality is Ollie, an Oldenburg owned by Sue Sheen of Sheen Farm in Salem, Wisconsin. Ollie received 22.2% of the votes cast.

What they Won

Each of our beautiful personalized leather prizes is handmade to order in Kentucky.

The first place entry in each contest category will receive a leather weanling halter bearing a commemorative brass halter plate. Each halter has solid brass hardware and a throatlatch snap.

The second place entry in each contest category will receive a leather lead bearing a commemorative brass nameplate. Each lead has a solid brass chain.

The third place entry in each contest category will receive a leather key ring with a commemorative brass nameplate.

The ELS staff favorite entry will receive a harness leather belt with brass hardware and a commemorative brass nameplate. The belt will be sized to fit the winning entrant.

No cash prizes will be awarded, and prizes are not redeemable for cash.
